SIEF Progress Update

The individual SIEF pages are now up and running for all SIEFs that are managed by the LOA REACH Consortium. These pages provide a  single information point for the entire SIEF process and will be updated regularly on an individual basis by the SIEF Manager. The SIEF pages for the LOA Consortium can be found at https://www.loa-reach-sief.com/loat/cfoweb.nsf. Please note that this is a password-protected site; if you are a SIEF member and your contact information is up to date in the ECHA IT system, you should have received a user name and password for the site.  
The SIEF pages contain the following information:
  • Welcome: basic information about the substance, the proposed lead registrant, costs for the letters of access, and documents that have been circulated to the SIEF members, which are available for download
  • Sameness Disc.: details of the sameness discussion process and agreement when available
  • Proprietary Data : links to the REACHsuite Proprietary Database when available
  • Survey Results: online survey results & lead registrant information
  • Class. & Labelling: details of the classification and labelling discussion and process will be placed here when available
  • Uses & Exposure: details of uses and exposure will be placed here when available
  • Dossier Avail.: schedule for when the dossier will be available for download
The LOA REACH Services Team has finalised the cost offers for Letters of Access for all of the substances within our remit. All SIEFs have been notified and the information is posted on the SIEF pages.  
Lead Registrants were proposed for the majority of the SIEFs and posted on the SIEF pages in May 2009, where agreements have been reached.  The LOA REACH Consortium is happy to be working with so many Industry leaders in this role. No objections were raised by SIEF members to any of the proposed Lead Registrants and thus the SIEF Manager has officially nominated these Lead Registrants via the ECHA online nomination process.  
In May 2010, we plan to hold two webinars on registration process and how dossiers will be delivered to SIEF members from the LOA REACH Consortium. More information is available on this Web site under the Events tab.
Please note that we can only answer questions that relate directly to the work of the LOA REACH Consortium or the SIEF process applicable to the substances that fall within our remit. In addition, we are currently working to compile a comprehensive list of questions and answers raised at both at the Webinar and by email and these will be posted shortly on this Web site so please stay tuned.  
Missed the deadline for completing the first online survey? Need to change your CEFIC status? The LOA SIEF Manager will be happy to amend these details for you and she can be contacted at: Sief.manager@loa-reach.com. However, if you need to change your contact details, please amend them in the REACH IT system and we will collect your updates in our weekly upload.
