Data Access and Letter of Access

Non-member companies do not have rights to refer to the technical dossiers produced by the Consortium. Non-member companies, however, may purchase data access rights (also known as a “letter of access”) from the Consortium.
Under the Data Access Agreement, the right to refer to a technical dossier is subject to a series of conditions, including:
  • a limitation to listed studies for REACH registration of listed substances;
  • payment of the data access fee described below;
  • no transfer of any property right or a right to transfer or to sublicense; and
  • no right to inspect, review, or copy the studies.
Non-member companies that want access to the Consortium’s data will be required to pay access fees.
Unlike members, affiliates of non-member companies do not have any data access rights unless they have purchased individual access rights.
